Meet Dr. Ryan Sangjun Baek
Ryan Sangjun Baek, DC MS
Dr. Ryan Sangjun Baek received his master of science degree in exercise physiology and sports medicine from Seoul National University, and his chiropractor doctorate from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Dr. Baek has extensive experience with athletic injuries and rehabilitation, as well as helping patients with obesity-related conditions. He is certified in massage and taping therapy. And, as a certified acupuncturist he has helped many patients overcome a host of symptoms such as pain, inflammation, headaches, and more.
When it comes to spinal manipulations, Dr. Baek is proficient in the Gonstead approach to chiropractic care, which emphasizes thorough analysis and masterful application of precise spinal adjustments. He is a member of the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, which funds research to improve the quality of chiropractic care.
He shares his knowledge and vast experience with the technique by serving as a former instructor for the Gonstead Methodology Institute, which trains practitioners in the art of the Gonstead method, and for the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), which aims to improve the health, fitness, and biomechanics of professional golfers around the world.
In an ongoing effort to educate patients about chiropractic conditions and practices, Dr. Baek has been a guest on (Dallas Korean) K-Radio and has held group teaching sessions on maintaining healthy posture.
This South Korean native is certified as a kendo instructor and obtained his fourth-degree black belt while living in Korea. In his spare time, Dr. Baek enjoys bowling, table-tennis, and serving as a life guard with the Red Cross. Dr. Baek also enjoys playing tennis with church friends, golfing, biking, skiing, and spending as much time with his family as possible.
